Wild Roots is much more than a café, it’s your favorite lunchtime sandwich shop, smoothie joint, and breakfast haunt. It’s beyond food – it’s a meeting place of self-expression and authenticity.
I always wanted to be a business owner and had many ideas with failed attempts at doing so. If it weren’t for my wife’s gusto and previous success as a small business owner herself (in a completely different industry mind you), I wouldn’t have given this a shot since the food service industry was never an interest of mine.
Our third daughter was born at the end of the first month Wild Roots began, and while my wife recovered and adapted to life as a mom of three I quickly jumped into Wild Roots to run it for her. What burst out inside me was pure passion. I had a desk job before this for the past decade and the physical movement was incredibly rewarding for my mind and body. To also help create the “culture” as we were so new, was also incredibly rewarding, and still is. Making a business and working environment through the eyes of the employee instead of the “boss” makes being a leader in this business the greatest feeling on earth.
If you’re fresh out of college, maybe your son or daughter is, or perhaps you’ve been working in a career path that just doesn’t provide you the rewarding and limitless benefits of being a business owner, talk with us.
Wild Roots is a part of the fledgling fast casual food industry. We’re focused on organic, Non-GMO ingredients, no microwaves, gluten allergies, and options for vegan eaters.
We’re all busy, and Wild Roots provides that fast food mindset with nothing but quality food that doesn’t make you feel gross afterwards to its team members and customers/community.
You do have to love working around food, but more important, you have to care about people, the daily process/grind, and culture. There has to be a desire to create a family inside a business where everyone pulls together and works hard side-by-side.
The finished product is amazing, simple food – but the process and mission ultimately is the people.
You don’t need an extensive food industry background – you just need to be passionate about people, processes, and quality product.
If that’s you – let’s get successful and feel rewarded together.
Cheers,
